Kaynen is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire's Music and Marketing programs. Kaynen didn't get into A cappella until he arrived on campus at UW-Eau Claire in 2012. After 3.5 years in the 7 member all male a cappella group, The Innocent Men, his outlook and growing obsession came to life from day one in the group. With experiences at Chicago Harmony Sweepstakes, collaborations and invites featuring groups across the midwest (i.e. Fundamentally Sound, State of Fifths, The Meladies, The Naturals, 7days and more) he became an avid listener and follower of the genre. A cappella has been a major passion for Kaynen, from viewing ICCA events and hosting on campus showcases, to participating in Sing-Off charity events and twice claiming the title of Audience Favorite at the Harmony Sweeps. Kaynen also arranges for The Innocent Men and four other groups on campus, and is expanding his arragements to other groups in the Midwest area. He was involved with The Innocent Men's return from a 5 year hiatus of studio production with the EP Caught Red Handed and most recently, the new album release of The Innocent Men, identity.
In the post collegiate world, Kaynen is the bass in Due North, a semi professional group in the Twin Cities area. Kaynen also works at an advertising agency and within the radio industry.
